Free Hugs campaigner open house under threat
I saw via Richard Giles' blog that Juan Mann of Free Hugs fame is being evicted from his open house.
Juan took the step of publishing his address on the internet and invited the world to his home. Its been just over a month since he did it and according to his latest blog entry he has had 66 guests drop in. And says Juan "nothing has gone wrong".
Check out the post to see the list of some of his guests.
So Juan is in need of new digs, and as Richard points out, probably an understanding landlord. So if anyone can help Juan out email him at freehugscampaign (at) yahoo (dot) com.
It would be great to keep the open house going!
In the mean time, go pay him a visit at:
Unit 12/30 Bucknell Street, Newtown, NSW, Australia 2042

Comments
Sorry I only just discovered why he was looking for a new house - the article on News.com.au mentions that his landlord is evicting him because his open house policy is a security and privacy concern for the apartment and neighbours.
Comments in response to the News.com.au article include people labelling Juan a hippy, a drop kick and telling him to get a job. If the people responding are representative of the public then it seems many narrow-minded people are unsympathetic to his cause.
Personally, I support what he has done and hopefully will continue to do and wish him the best of luck finding a new home and landlord!
